Default speaker wire tuck help?

okay i want to power my new speakers up front with an amp.

so the question is how do i wire it up and tuck in the speaker wires so i cant see them?

can i cut the main harness by the deck and use speaker wire attaching from there to the amp and just plug in the stock speaker wires to the speakers? i dont know if those little wires have enough gauge so i dont want to burn them. thx

Although you could get away with using the factory speaker wires, I would not recommend it when adding an amp. It's like trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose! Kinda! but not really. I would run new wires from the amp to the speakers. I'm assuming you have an aftermarket deck? If not then you'll have to run wires from deck to amp for signal. Hope this helps.

You mean how to hide them when going into the door? I can't remember from my 99 Si but my 01 ITR had no access threw the boot because it had a harness on each end. So it was a PITA to get the wire for my power folding mirrors threw there. All I can say is try to drill a hole as close to the boot as possible so you can hide the majority of the wire in the boot or try and get the harness out and make a access hole threw it. Either way you are looking at some work. Maybe somebody has thought of something more clever? Good luck

its best if u use the rear stock speaker wires for the front by looping the harness..
running new wires can get complicated especially if u dont know what youre doing..not really complicated but a major PITA...
but if you must... look at the door harness if there is a slot not being use poke a hole through it snape the new wire through the harness into the boot into the car...kinda easier to do it from the inside out too.... run it under the door sills all the way to where u plan to mount the amp at... if not like above said drill...

Yeah, I thought about going threw the harness too but how easy is it to remove? Due to the room issue you may not be able to see very well.
Another "bad way" of doing it is to unhook the harness and let it hang semi free and that way you can run the wire threw the boot and next to the harness. Just make sure the boot is tight so no water or dirts gets in. My driver side (out from door) is done that way because it was already disconnected and felt like the tabs were broke off.

Again this is my experience but not always the best way.

i just check it today. seems hard to remove that booth and stick wires threw. will i guess ill give it a try when it gets a bit warmer. i want to be done with the audio stuff b4 or in spring.

will what do you guys think about using the stock wires from the harness, attaching them to speaker wires extending them to the amp. just a thought.

I personally wouldnt use the stock harness just in case you later get rid of the amp and go back to stock setup. Running RCAs to the amp and than speaker wire from the amp to your speakers is prob going to be your best bet. I cant really offer advice though on running the wire cause i never had my speakers run with amp in my old civic.

man it a hard dude i did that for the power folding mirrors jdm crap...not worth money btw.. and would not recommend doing that for the front speakers from my ears its not a day and night difference the differences between the two is minute and i personally wouldnt bother with it...but some swear by it so ill leave it at that... and also its not like your stock wires are going to burn or anything when pair up with a amp...

the easiest method and safe method... is buying a aftermarket harness loop the front with the rear..plug it in to your stock harness plug it in to your aftermarket deck use the rear stock speaker wire for your front and run new ones for your rear speakers to the amp.. that way if you decide to get rid of your amp and sell the car u can go back to factory settings..

no... ur using the rear stock speaker wire for the front while running new speaker wire for the rear speakers..u will end up running 2 new wires(rear) instead of 4(font n rear)
i have no idea where u get "wiring the rear to the front"
