hey people. i need to know what these normally retail for and the sound ratings on the subs..i dont really know too much about this type of stuff so i dont want to pay too much for 2 of these and a box. somebody help me out...there the 2003 version 12 inch L7's

i dont kno about factory rating (wouldnt even bother to know) for the L7, but my boi had a 15" l7 with custom box in his accord...and he just recently upgraded to 1 12" JL w7...i kno lots of people had L5s and L7s and ended up sellin 'em...why? cuz JL oWnz j0

what's your main goal? are you after just boom boom bass or a more accurate bass reproduction? how much are you going to spend at most for each sub and how much space do you have available?
well im getting two of the 2003 versions w/ box, and 5 year warrenty for 180....L7 (12 in.)

i got a chance to take a quick listen to Al Bundy's L7 in a sealed box. sounds very nice for what it is.
its only horrible if the box is wrong. in most cases, people associate the L7 as being boomy and peaky. this is due to installation and car. its peaky when the sealed box you build/bought is too small. this will inheritely raise the qtc of the box which gives u that peak.
and its boomy because of the car. because of the resonance of the subwoofer/box combines with the resonance of the car, you will get an exaggerated bass response, which gives u that boomy sound. a simple EQ "can" correct this.

in my neon i got 2 10" kicker L7 solobarics with two rockford fosgate 500s amps... hits very hard and i like it
tight, thanks, either way its a really good price and if i dont like them i will just sell them to any kid a find that justs wants a loud system and has money...
