small light fuse keeps blowing
You have a short not a ground. If it only started happening after you wired up your new deck then you need to double and triple check your wiring.
Usually, shorts go to ground, yes they can jump to another wire, but the majority of the time they will short to ground.
Yes I understand the term short to ground but I'm pretty sure there is a wire shorting out somewhere-as in bare wire contacting metal; Laymans terms.
$5 bucks says it's the orange ILLUMINATION wire. Make sure it is properly secured with black electrical tape. It will have 12VDC current when your lights are switched on. Let me guess, the instrument cluster gauge lights aren't working either??

The other problem I've encountered was the use of the dash dimmer wire for ground. When testing for ground wire most will connect the meter red to +12v and look for ground wire. with the lights off the dash wire will show ground 12v. With lights on meter will show 0v.
Even with deck not touching ground it's grounded via the antenna shield. When using amps I've never used OEM ground lead. Always ground direct to bare steel. Even better is braided ground strap direct to back brace stud to body with black lead from head to the stud.

Okay so I solved the problem after following the wireing from the fuse box under the hood I found that another fuse was blown that I believe was connected to my hid's (not sure) I replaced that and continued to follow thw wire when I found that two random wires neer my drivers side were spliced together and for some reason those wires being spliced together was causeing the small light fuse to blow
Hey, I am having this same problem. I installed an aftermarket radio as well including a subwoofer with an Amp in the drunk.
My 15A mini small light fuse keeps blowing as soon as I turn on my front lights. Do you have any advice?
