Definatly get an alarm. The club isn't that great, since you can just cut the steering wheel... or better yet, buy the club buster that supposedly clips it (forgot the website that sells them). The autolock is good, just make sure you have it on the clutch since you can still drive using the ebrake (unless you have an auto).

People can still vandilize and steal stuff from your car, the autolock won't stop that. Most thieves won't mess with cars that have alarms, and if they do, it will take longer since they have to stop the alarm first.

If they want the car, they'll get it.

If you get an alarm, make sure you have it installed at a reputable shop. I've got on my old Prelude a really nice Viper alarm, but I've been cheap on the install. My wife was actually home when the "installer that comes to your place" showed up and after a few months I had to change the sesitivity (it was waking my neighbors up). Of course, there was no trace of the "installer" and no clue where it was actually installed . So I had to cut the wires...
Anyhow, do make sure that if you get one you do know how to adjust the sensitivity.

George

PS: ... and indeed, if they really want your car, it's already gone... If they're in for a joy ride, than probably any cheap alarm will do the trick...

Why are you telling me? No duh they'll get it if they really want it, but an alarm and security devices such as the autolock can slow down and/or prevent people from jacking your car. More work = takes them longer = gives you more time to get your gun and put a few holes in them.
