Security alarms stink!
I must say, Teken, that you are well versed in your trade, and I respect you for that. I once had a 2000 Civic Si; sadly to say, it is now gone forever. After it was stolen the first time, I installed a Compustar alarm on it with a backup battery. I always made sure that my car was armed, and one morning, the car was gone. 3 days later, the police found it stripped. The alarm never went off. I used to sleep with the little pager thing next to my bed, and it never went off. I now have another car, which does not have a stupid airbag in it. I installed hood locks, a removable steering wheel (with lock), kill switches to the ecu, battery, gas lines, and brakes. You don't even see the ignition anymore, because I removed that and relocated it to another place, with another lock just to get to the ignition itself. As someone who is well trained and knows their forte, I would like to know what you think of my "modified" alarm system, and would like your feedback. I appreciate all the knowledge that you have shared on the site. Thanks Teken.
