To Remove carpet, Remove dash?
To remove the carpet in my car, do I really need to remove the dash center dash/metal frame? That seems a bit extreme but that is what I am getting from the factory service manual.
Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

Alright. Isnt it just 3 or 4 bolts? or os it the whole dash?
I think I remember 1 or 2 bolts that are against the body and then 1 each on the side, is that correct?

Unfortunately, I assorted the car for a long time already and I can not recollect as to disassemble the console. Also I can not look, my car still is disassembled
you need the honda carpet removal tool........ the razor blade. but seriously you can take a razor and split it down the center alot of times, if its more trouble than its worth to remove the dash bracing.

Ditto the above^^^
Not sure why it's done that way on the 99, with most Honda/Acura, [most cars in general] the carpet is already "slit" under the dash.
Console will have to be removed but that's not a biggie. 94

mine wasnt 99 teg. i just took a sharp blade and made the cuts that shouldve been there myself. then tucked it under the center console when i was done. cant even tell its cut. faster that way.
also on my car and a friends 92 hatch we had to drop the steering column a bit to get the dash around it. dont know if its mandantory but it sure made it a whole lot easier.
