what are you using for component speakers? i also see you have no dynomat? also you didnt say what size wiring your using for your amp. sounds to me like a basic rattlebox car. the jl subs are the best thing you got IMO. i just dropped $3600 with crutchfeild for my new system 2 months ago. still havent installed it since i am waiting for sandblasting and paint. maybe i'll post the components later for you to see what some of us like
well i have the kenwood excelon kdc-x994 head unit with ipod cable kenwood kdc-ip101, kenwood kdc-c719 10 disc cd changer, infinity kappa 32.9cf speakers, infinity kappa 42.9i speakers, infinity kappa 52.9i speakers, kenwood excelon x1200m sub amp, rockford fosgate prime r150-2 dash speaker amp, kenwood excelon x600f door speaker amp, jl audio 10w3v3-2 subs (2 of them), jl audio sgr 10w3v3/w1v2 speaker grilles (2), tsunami litewave series pp1002tm capacitor, street wires zero noise 5 4-channel patch cable, street wires zero noise 5 stereo patch cables (3 sets-various lengths), street wires clip its 1/0 gauge (x5), also got a 4-gauge one, and a dual 4-gauge set, have various grounding terminals (street wires), got a antana noise filter, power line noise filter, and an RCA ground loop noise filter, dynamat 1 inch and 2 inch rollers, dynamat dynatape, dynamat xtreme mega pak (72 square feet) and i still need a few things. gotta cnc speaker rings for the door speakers to keep my door panel material from ripping and make the installation look good. and i have to make my speaker box still. not in a hurry. i also got a few jvc amps on special with the kappa speakers but i sold them for 30 bucks each cause they were freebies i didnt need

"2 12" SSA XCONS In 4 cubes" what does that mean? but sounds like u have a pretty sick nasty system
it means his 2 12 inch subs are in a box with 4 cubic feet of air space/volume. depending on what the subs require for air space and the volume the magnets and speaker frame of the subs take up this could be very sick indeed. but if you know about all this stuff you can build bad *** boxes that will bump an 8 inch JL better than some peoples 12 inch subs

yeah i had 2 12 inch hollywood competitions in my F150 crew cab truck. i raised the rear bench seat 4 inches using 4 inch square tubing steel and i built the box to fit under it and i put my 2000 watt hollywood competition amp, kenwood 2 and 4 channel amps power dist block, and capacitor all behind the seat back there. even ran an ac tube from my ac box to the amps and cap to keep them and the capacitor cool. that truck ROCKED!!
yeah i know but i'm not into the full bass systems any longer. blew my rear window out of my mustang 5.0 hatch back on the freeway with the windows and t-tops off bumpin kid rock. and i'm gettin old LOL. i am on the color matching thing for my build now. that same mustang LOL and i wanted the kenwood **** to match. i have always had infinity component speakers so i am not changing. i did consider the jl speakers too but after a long time with infinity i wont change. even though the jl component speakers sounded just as good and would match the subs. i still have a few sets of infinitys in the mustang from the last system. gonna give those to good will for a tax write off if my pops dont want em. with a new build its just time for new stuff. no budget for this build either. going to SEMA next year with it
yep we're all different. systems are seriously like oil brands. honestly i like the clarion head units too. i have had them and pioneer and kenwood and sony, and pannasonic, and alpine, but i like clarion the best. but for this build i like that the usb wire on the kenwood can be routed to the glove box. i see so many young builders now with their systems but theres a crappy lookin wire out the face of the head unit for the ipod. just looks crappy to me. so the kenwood wire can be routed through the rear of the deck to the glove box for a clean and hidden look. i dont even have an ipod yet cause the last one i paid 250 for it but i didnt know how to down load songs off it and since i like stuff from the 80's no one wanted to spend the time putting my cds on it so i gave it away. thats why i got the cd changer too. maybe this time i'll get someone to down load my cds for me to my new ipod. i'm gonna offer a free ipod like whatever i get to anyone willing to do that for me. and i had an ipod that said it could hold 66,000 songs so i forgot what it was but it was 250 bucks. thats a good trade huh? yep i still buy cd's.
one of my jls broke gonna get 2 audiobahns off a freind for free scince i found him the deal on them and a amp for 50 bucks but yea one of jl audio subs the cone seprated from the idk how to say this but the rubberish round part going around the cone anyone know how to fix it "note im not technical with subwoofer repair" so help would help me but yea can i repair or just get 2 audiobahns are temp replacements(would rather fix the jl)
i know of a speaker repair shop that does this but i think its lie 75 bucks and the place in near hollywood california. i didnt even know they had such shops but my uncle sent me there to replace that part for his 15 inch technique speakers from the 70's. they still rock now again LOL
I like the subs, good amp kit, i think the capacitator is a massive waste of time and money in every single audio system on earth.. for the price of a cap you can get a sla 33 ah battery or smaller. jvc head unit is ok, i have sold jvc before but i'm a die hard alpine fan till the bitter end. props for choosing components of any kind- better than a coax setup. and good job choosing sound deadener, even though dynomat is the most pop name, it is rather expensive.
