I removed the passenger seat from my eg and underneath it was some wires, it looked audio related one wire looking like a ground, which was left from the previous owner. Anyways, i took out the seat for about 2 days, at the same time, my radio was working fine. i tucked those old wires under the carpet tonight and then put my seat back in. When I started the car, my radio would not come on. Its still getting power because i can take out and put in a cd but their is not lights on, no function what so ever. What could it be??
also i checked the fuse and it was blown, i replaced it with another and check a second later and it was blown again with in milliseconds. Could it be that it could be a ground????
The one behind the head unit ground??? or the one that i tucked in under the carpet ground????

Sounds like the remote lead for the amp is shorted under the seat, it could also be connected to the ignition if you are using a factory head unit, most likely the same fuse the HU is on. You should have power and ground (larger gauge wires) and a smaller gauge wire for remote turn on, just ensure they are both taped or protected, and that the seat bolt isnt pinching or crimping the wire(s) causing the issue.
