Default question about this setup ive put together (pic added)

this is for my 2013 camaro. im primarily focused on budget and reliability. i want to be sure that these parts are compatible. i dont need heavy hitting bass, hence the 8" subs.

-the woofers are rated at 4 ohm I believe, and likewise with amp
(2 channel for left/right stereo sound).

-the woofer RMS is 250, the amp is RMS ~260
i picked the capacitor for 'preventive' measure

-the wiring kit is only an example, im just picking a cheap 4ga setup and going from there.

-the amp will be wired directly from battery that is located in trunk for a wiring length of ~4ft

i didnt post this on my camaro forum because they all act like teenagers on twitter. this honda forum has significantly more automotive knowledge in comparison.

About 300 for hardware. The stock Camaro "My Link" head unit has pretty clean sound. That's why I'm primarily focused on budget/reliability factors. The raw sound from the stereo is good enough for me. I just want the feel of low tones, but I'm not trying to rattle my nuts or bust my glass.

I started putting this setup together by choosing the woofers first and then working my way backwards. So I'm pretty dead set with the woofers themselves. Then read up on the RMS ratings, and selected the amp using a combination of customer reviews, price, 2 channel output (for left/right stereo sound), and ohm rating(reliability). Then I chose the 2 farad capacitor as a back up plan. Then I determined I can't go wrong with 4 ga wiring.

So my biggest concern is whether or not there's an incompatibility, ie. 2 ohm amp with 4 ohm woofers.

from my personal experience i dont like infinity subs. And also boss isnt really good for audio equipment.

why chose a 2 channel amp? r u doing 2 subs?
what about ur stock speakers? did u want to have loud and crisp sound also?

e:
i did a quick check and here is my opinion for new atleast, i usually buy used since i no how to check if theyre in good condition or not. (WAY CHEAPER IE; i can get a good brand but used 300Rms for around $50-60 then a good sub probably 300-500Rms depending on deals for around $50-100 and a $25 amp wires and voila under 200 i got a good setup)

then you have a few options on amps:

kenwood 300Rms @4ohm @$119.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...AC-5001PS.html

jvc 300Rms @4ohm @$119.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...S-AX5101D.html

mb Quart 350Rms @4ohm @$119.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...t-OA750.1.html

jbl 350Rms @4ohm @$129.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...GTO-501EZ.html

Hifonics 400Rms @4ohm @$119.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...RX1200.1D.html

Hifonics 400Rms @4ohm @$129.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-X1000.1D.html

Hifonics 400Rms @4ohm @$129.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-X1100.1D.html

like i said i did a quick search not really trying to find best deals. but any of these amps will be fine with the sub i linked above. Total from 250-275 Shipped EXCLUDING a capacitor. I dont no why u want a capacitor. theyre only meant for when you go big power where each bass dims your lighting lol. but @ this power it shouldnt be much of a problem.
Again i did a quick 5-10 min search. and here r my results.

Now from personal experience. I use to go subs only but then i come to find out my subs WAY too loud vs my stock speakers. so what i did was power up 2x 6x9's with a 2 channel / 4 channel amp. Plus my 1 channel mono amp for my sub and now my Subs AND my speakers are Loud as **** and in sync. My speakers can go so loud with crisp sound my ears hurt before i even hit 50% of what my speakers can go.

I'll address starting from the top down..........

1. Use caution and do your research when picking an amp kit, all wire isn't the same!

Right off the bat I can tell you the power wire in that kit is going to look like the power wire 2nd from the left. 99% of the time when you see "oversided" it just meants they make the shielding/coating thicker, not actually get more wire. To make a wire thicker, what's cheaper: Add more coating or add more copper? 2nd, "3000 watts" is over 400 amps, there's NO way I would push that much through 4 gauge wire, no matter how short the distance.(Let alone the wire in this kit!)

2. Ditch the capacitor.....the amount of power that Boss amp is going to put out(if you're stuck on going with that one) isn't going to put that much strain on the electrical sytstem. For the most part capacitors are more of a bandaid fix for a weak electrical system. Do they have a purpose, sure a little bit, but not for the power levels in your application.(With these products at least)

3. Stay away from "max power" ratings, they are essentially meaningless and more of a bit of marketing topic. When amp shopping, expect to pay in the range of $.40-$.80 per watt for a decent amp. You are on the right track with matching the amp with the sub, I would just HIGHLY suggest selecting another amp. Will it work? Yes. Can you get more bang for your buck with another amp? DEFINITELY!

4. Infinity makes great speakers, nothing wrong with this sub and would run it in my own car, but again, there are others out there that will get you more bang(pun intended) for your buck.

Here's what I would do with a ~$300 budget:
-Rockford Fosgate R500X1D
-SKAR Audio VD-8D4 or Massive Audio NEO 8 or American Bass VFL8D4(YouTube all of these )
-Atrend 8SQV ported box.
-PAC SNI-35 line out converter(So you can connect RCA to your stock radio)
-Stinger SPT55308 side post for GM batteries(This part is a maybe. I haven't worked on a new Camaro yet so not sure if they still use side post batteries in them)

Hey look at that, only $7.61 over budget
