Default Problems installing cd player ( Constant power wire)

Constant power wire is not delivering constant power!!! LOL
Its reading at 0.3 volts when ignition off, 3volts when ignition on.

Accessory wire is reading 18 volts when ignition on!

What gives? All of the fuses are good.... I added power locks which is tied into the fuse box at the power seats fuse location (i didnt have power seats) and has a 7.5 rated Fuse in place... 15 Amp fuse in the radio slot fuse box

i left off on the constant wire being at o.3 volts which is just about 0 voltage. I looked around for anythin unusual coming from the wire such as some kinda cut off switch for unknown accessory. I found 1 cutoff switch for some stupid fan wired actually inside of an intake "cold air tube" which is dumbest thing ive ever seen BUT that was wired to amp then a cutoff to turn on/off the fan.

So i tried tracing the wire under the hood and i didnt see anythin unusual tapped into the harness so i popped open the other fuse box under the hood which i figured was just for underhood accessories like fan switch, ac fan..headlights...etc

BUT, i found an accessory light fuse that was burnt aka open circuit. I replaced it then noticed inside that maintenence light now turns on and then off like its supposed to but before it wasnt even turning on. BINGO, this fuse leads to certain dash inputs such as the constant power!!

It was now hot and running at 16-18 volts which is still a little high i think? I thought it would run in the 11-14 volt range but oh well

problem solved

ok first off glad you fixed your own problem , thats cool. but 18v you might want to throw your meter away cause nothing in you stereo setup should ever run 18v.. its probably just the meter....
