Default preamp outputs

What is the benefits of more having voltage on the preamp puts? Is it a major differene between 3v to 5v? thanks for any help

You don't have to set the gains so high on the amp to get the same output.

Therefore less distortion.

what stereos do u recommend that have 5v and up outputs. price am looking to spend no more than $450 but show me anything more expensivse as i can get it cheaper.

5v preouts exist on the Kenwood KDC-X991. It's a nice deck that can be had for $400 from reputable online retailers w/ warranty. I was always happy with it. It's a single din unit.

i have 4v pre's on my alpine, very satisfied with that., the higher the voltage, the cleaner the signal will be, but keep in mind that your amp has an input sensitivity, make your you don't exceed it, but i don't see that happening.
