But do you recommend the use of pager alarms (are they any better than using regular alarm systems?). If so, whay units would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Default Well I got broken into a few weeks ago

Well I got broken into a few weeks ago and it sucked. I had no alarm installed. I have 2 alarms (old ones) new in boxes and striped my car to relocate the battery to the spare tire well and cover it with a metal plate or protect it with a steel box. I wanted to install both alarms too (Avistart 6000 and Clifford 1100) and protect my hood and trunk by using actuators.(Am I on the right path?0. I also purchased 2 mini sirens (100db's) for the interior, and a Doppler sensor. After all this I read Car Audio recommending pager units etc. and now I'm undecided. I appreciate your advice and can use as much as possible. for your help. Thanks.

i have a Clfford paging system.. the pager is separate from the remote and is the size of a normal pager... and like teken said there is a button inside the car to page the pager from the car (dunno never had a use for this before Lolz)... it seems to work ok.. I think its going to be all worth it.. when I catch sum theif breaking in my car and give him a good smack on the spinal cord w/ a breaker bar.. or swing a golf club in his face or give a swift kick in the ***... I've had this system for about 2 or 3 yrs.. for my alarm I have shock/impact, proximity (prolly the same purpose as your "radar" ) and tilt sensors... I have kill switches, the club and other locks and pin switches, internal sirens, batt back up and kill switches too along w/ my pager..

DO NOT buy that JC whitney trash, you will be sorry if you do. Buy the "millenium FX", mine has worked very well for the last 1.5 years. try http://www.12voltshop.com
