Default Ohm/ Amp Question

I read the manual and there is nothing there to say how to run the speakers in 4 or 2 Ohms. Only how to bridge.

Any idea how? Or do I just connect the speaker there and the Amp will determine what ohm to run?

the amplifier has a "Stated" ohm stability, this load is Per channel, you have to purchase your subwoofers in the correct ohm load or configuration so that you have the right load. Its your job to know (or salesmans) what the amp is stable to, then when you choose your sub(s) you configure then, for Ex. if you have a 2ch 2ohm stereo stable amplifier (4ohm mono stable), and you want to have 2 subwoofers, then you would purchase (in most cases) a set of dual 4ohm subs, or svc 8ohm subs, but that all changes if you want to run 1 subwoofer, because then you would want a svc 4ohm sub or a dvc 2ohm sub.

Alpine MRF-P600 and I running Alpine Type R 6.5 Front and 6x9 in the rear both has 100 RMS.

I want to run this @ 100 rms @ 4 OHM not 150 rms @ 2 OHM.

How can I do that.

Connecting each speaker to one output of the amplifier will net you a 4ohm load on each channel.

ha you just wish really hard! ha jk, yea i imagine this thought does come up if you don't know. Simply here is the answer, you can't run 2ohm stereo per ch on a 4 ch amp with 4 svc 4ohm speakers.. to achieve 2ohms per ch, you have to doulbe up on your speaker count, find a svc 2ohm coax, or get a 2ch amp instead so you can run 2ohm stereo there, but honestly, i would just leave it alone, you have seperated ch's, can use the fading functions properly, and are running 4 ohm loads, which is gonna be cleaner for your speakers.

Either run different speakers or add more speakers.
