OEM CD Player + CD-Rs
Hey all, I was wondering what's the best way to burn CD-Rs for them to work properly in a '90s factory CD attachment. I'm using a P/N 08A06-188-210 CD attachment pulled from a '98 Odyssey, however it looks like the same CD player Honda made available on almost ever model car sold in the 90s.
I burned a CD-R through iTunes at 1x on a 700mb Memorex disc, yet the player has a tough time reading the content. If I skip back to the last song on the CD it plays, and most of the songs will play by skipping back. I didn't seem to have this problem with a commercial CD which rules out a faulty junk yard CD player.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated to burn CDs to work. I've been told to try Windows Media to burn them, which I'll try out later on this weekend. I'm also not replacing the audio system, as I've spent a lot of time tracking down the OEM parts and fixing the wiring harness from the aftermarket stereo the previous owner of my car had installed. My car is an OEM project. Thanks!
