Default no sound from head unit?

hey folks. i bought an integra from a guy and he says that there's been no sound from the head unit ever since he removed the power antenna. i replaced the blank hole with an s2k antenna(which looks pretty sweet btw) and still no sound from the thing. it's a sony deck with pioneer/kenwood speakers. the actual unit works and everything, lights up, counts cd time, etc. but there is no sound in the speakers. i can't figure this out! all the wires are good behind the head unit. only thing else i can think of is that the wiring to the speakers is messed up, but how would that happen from removing an antenna? any input?? i need some music!!

Try running new fresh speaker wire to a speaker just to see is the HU is sending a signal through all the factory wires...maybe the decks amplifier fried???
