The New Alpine Bass Engine Plus Decks
I recently got rid of my 2000 model CDA-7864(blue LED) because that damn blue LED was so bright that I couldn't drive at night times. The unit also did not allow you to dim the LED.
So I was in the market for a new deck.
Now I'm looking at the new Alpine CDA-7876. The one with dual LED(amber or green) illumination.
Does anyone have this specific model in their car? Or seen it in mobile stereo shops? How bright is the LED in amber mode?

I have the 7876. I don't really notice it while driving at night. The LED in amber mode is non-intrusive to me...I believe it will match the lighting in the R quite well. I believe you can dim the lights on it...mine's set on 'auto'. It's an awesome unit.
Hey, if you want it, I'll sell you mine. I haven't even had it for a month (I want something flashier and don't need all the high-tech features). I'm also located in MD. Let me know...

I've got the 7873, same year model, basically the same deck. Mine has the amber/green buttons and a multi color display. I don't find it intrusive at all. I also find the sound quality to be amazing with it! I did a small review on the deck here, do a search for 7873 under my name in this forum.
Another bonus is the 7873 is the EXACT same deck as the 7875, just without the flashy display and it's 100 bucks cheaper, about 150 cheaper than the 7876 I beleive.
All of them are awesome decks though.

I'd hook you up if you lived near-by...plus I don't know what I want to get to replace it.
It's one of those things that I'd sell only if it was convenient...I'm not really trying to get rid of it.
