Need receipt for RF 250a2 amp.
Hope you dont mind me posting this in here. I talked to my insurance company about insuring my stereo equipment. They told me that I can fax them receipts of everything and they will cover it in the event of theft. Sending them receipts now before any sort of claim overrides their $200 per occurace thing for aftermarket audio. Well, I have receipts for my HU, changer, cap, subs but lack one for the amp and the box. The box I don't care about. But the amp, I do. I have no idea what happened to it. I think it was lost when I moved to a new apartment. I went to the store where I bought it but found that they have closed.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do? Some way around it? Some way to get hooked up with a receipt? They won't accept and advertisement or anything, only a receipt. It's an older RF punch 250a2 amp. I've had it for like 3 years. I think I paid about $200-$250 for it.
I'm considering forging one. Even though the receipt would be fake, I do own the amp, and it would be for the true value that I paid for it.
Any ideas are appreciated.

so they wont even take a picture that clearly shows what it is and that it is in YOUR car? id say go to a store and ask them to print up a receipt or something. doesnt matter what store just ask em and see what they would do for you.
I just called my insurance company. Mind you I asked the same EXACT question that they denied me on before. I asked if I could send something off the best buy website instead of a receipt for the amp, a picture of the install, and receipts for the other stuff.
This time I got a different answer. They are covering everything without any receipts. They are mailing me a form to fill out what is in there and the value of everything. I figure retail on everything is about $1000 or a little less. I wish they would get their story straight. They said the photo inspection that they required wasnt enough, they need receipts. Now they cover everything with no reciepts and no photos.
Insurance companies annoy me. Oh well, I'll fill out their form and i have pics and receipts on file if they try and dispute what it's worth in the event of a claim.
