need help wiring up a relay
i plan to
Wire up a relay to the radios 12volt ignition
i want to pull 12volt fused from the battery and then have the ig1 switch that relay on ..
the reason for this is friends deck doesnt turn on sometimes, in his miata,
so i think this might fix it... mabe there is another way??
we checked the wiring, ground, memory wire all is good
2nd thing is
my friends nissan has 3 guages that need power
each guage needs 2 grounds 2 12volt (1pair for bulbs) 1 pair for sensors
i plan to do the same thing like posted above
get 12volt from battery and have the ig2 switch it on
What im asking is for a diagram, what wire goes where on a 30amp relay
thankjs

All SPST relays are basically wired the same. 86 and 85 is the control side. Hook up your ign2 or switch or whatever to either 86 or 85, and then ground the other one. Hook up constant 12v to 30. Hook up whatever you want to power to 87.
This may help... http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp
And this... http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#rtol remote turn on, [#86] will come from 2nd ign.
You should not need a relay for illumination, use the park light free pin in Honda/Acura or if an aftermarket HU has been installed use the illumination led in the stock radio harness.
