Need help with s2000 speakers
I am about to purchase new speakers for my s2k. A good friend of mine works at a local stereo shop that is giving me a killer deal on XR series JL Audio 6.5's. He giving me them, and their two crossovers for 225, with a suggested retail of 379. The problem is, I dont really want to drill into my door panels to mount the tweeters. Is there anywhere else I can mount them that will sound good, and are less visible? I was thinking to the left and right of the "secret compartment" behind the seat. Would this work? Also, I have a pioneer 400/4 watt amp that I will use to power these, can I hide that under the seat?

i did my friends s2k system and he didnt want to cut a hole either. we decided to mount it on the speaker grill itself. the grills have little holes so stick a screw through, the onyl problem was that the screw was a lil bigger. so we just made one hole bigger and mounted it there.
as far as imaging goes, its not the best place. but it is the best route that will cost u nothing.

Is "imaging" the way the sound waves are reflected throughout the cabin? Its not behind the seat at all, thats just an easy way to explain where I mean.

i know u are getting the speakers for a good price, but what my friend did was use an image dynamics component set up which uses 2 horns. he placed the to horns in the footwheels, mounted to the bottom of the dash. worked out well
