Default NEED help Kicker L7 box

ok i have a kicker solobaric 10" l7 sub, i built sort of a big box, its sounds like ****, ive heard that the only way to make these subs sound good are with the original kicker boxes, does anyone agree, disagree?...any suggestions would be nice

also should i go with the jl 250/1 amp, or kicker 600/1 amp?

Did you make it to specs? I have one 12 in. L7 and made it to Kicker's specs and it sounds great.

What size is your box?

For sealed applications they recommend .66-1ft^3.

im not sure, but is it true that these subs sound better in smaller boxes. i saw a how to on one of the integra sites, it was small.

If you're not sure as to what your box size is, then that's your problem.

Can you find out what the internal air space is? Is the box completely sealed?
