Default ...need help with DEI 451M...

i've started installing my DEI alarm and am having probs installing the DEI 451M... can't use the keyless entry feature...

the wiring info for each cable listed on the back of it is as follows:

violet/black: lock/unlock normally open #87
green/black: lock output #30
white/black: lock normally closed #87A
blue/black: unlock output #30
brown/black: unlock normally closed #87A

would someone be so kind to tell me where to attach these wires?

thanks in advance!

*the violet/black wire has a 15A fuse in it also:

what type car are you putting it in? If it's into a Honda, you shouldn't need the 451M unless you're trying to tag off of the keyless model that does the progressive door locks (IE> hit unlock once on the remote and it only unlocks the drivers door, hit it a 2nd time and it unlocks the passenger door. Hit lock, and it locks both)

you shouldn't need it. Typically the wires for that car that both Techsoft (DEI) and Scoche list for that car are a negitive pulse and control the lock and unlock relays. With this being the case, most alarms will drive the locks without a problem.

If you don't have the wires you need to tag into, I can find them later today when I'm at work. Honda's are one of the easier cars to do alarms in.

NOTE>> Also check around the kick panel area, maybe a little higher up than the kickpanel. Early to mid 90 Honda's typically have a 2 pin plug up taped up up there that is used for the factory keyless systems or something. One of the two wires is lock, the other unlock. *ALWAYS CHECK WITH A DMM BEFORE YOU GO HOOKING WIRES UP* Just had to throw that disclaimer in

You do not need the 451m. the door lock wires are in a test connector just above the drivers side kickpanel (a small plug with 2 wires in it that is not plugged into anything). Just hook up your blue and green wires from the 2 pin connector of the alarm to the 2 wires in test conn. Normally wire colors are red/blk,blue/blk

If you don't have the 2 pin connector, you can cut the 3 wire ribbon cable off the 451m, and use the blue and green wires on that to accomplish the same thing. Most newer DEI alarms/starters aren't coming with the blue/green wired connector anymore. They're all coming with the 5 wire relay...
