Default This is my system, is it complete???

Alright, pics coming soon I promise but this is what I got.

Alpine 7893 h/u Great unit

5.25/6.5 type r's co-axle

1 Farad Lightning audio digital Cap

Alpine 4X45 RMS amp

4 guage wiring kit

Big 3 upgrade

2 Eclipse 15 titaniums (Custom built sealed box)

2 JBL 1200.1 Amps

JBL stereo 2 channel 11 band EQ

8 Channel JBL Crossover

Tried a changer but didn't work out.

I have a 2X300 Alpine amp left over I was thinking some mid-bass under the seats but I have never heard "mid bass" does it pay off?, my cross-over starts gain at 120 Hz and my R's pick it up from there. I also have a 12 infinity referance.

Suggestions? All installation done by me, Honda civic 95 sedan (don't have much room for ported)

Also thinking about a new alternator, but I am not having problems pulling amps, I'm getting 75 ish from the stock with the big 3. (I couldn't do the installation my self, it would be expensive!!)

All this is aquired not planned it's already been bought

those titaniums...are they the regular series or the Ti Pro?

without midbass, say goodbye to that "tightness". the highest i would cross my sub at is around 75hz. then again..if your sub is in a good box and has low low low inductance, then i guess u could cross it higher.

i would NEVER put the midbass driver under the seat. midbass should be mounted in front to help make it seem like the sub is coming from the front. most of the time..the speakers will put out decent midbass (providing you highpass them around 80hz and seal the doors properly)

2 15's and 2400 watts

If you want dedicated midbasses, get some kicks and put them in the doors. Under the seat is not very usefull.

A pair of 4's or 1/0 will be fine for those two amps. They are class D. Very efficient.

Yeah, I'm only running 4 guage, but it seems to work fine, my amp draw is like 75 ish, with the headlights on, So your telling me that normal people run subs under the seats? So the mid-bass only go to 80 Hz? and they go in the doors? I don't understand. Yeah the Eclipses are the normal series, don't have that much money and 2 15's with 2400 Watts RMS is plenty of Bass TRUST ME, for normal everyday listening.

What I am saying, under normal circumstances if you want to run a comp set, midbass and subs. Then you put the comps in kicks, midbasses in the doors, and the 15's under your seat

Or in your trunk.

midbass is usually from 80hz-250hz..i say USUALLY

from there on..its midrange and high's.

u want the midbass upfront so it will help bring subbass to the front of the car.

The two 15's and a custum 3/4 MDF sealed box was 884 shipped, 137 pounds with the box, Yeah I Got a really good deal.

So the the midbasses, what are kicks, my co-axles are in the doors, can you give me a product, I am glad to hear that there is a speaker that covers 70-250ish. How much power do those take, Are you sure I can't put them under the seats, I don't have any room.

Kicks are kickpanels. You can get custom made or qlogics. The midbasses should be crossed at about 70-200. I have the kicker rmb6 midbasses. They do ok. At midbass frequencies you start to lose perception of location, but you should not put them under the seats.

Our cars don't have enough room for anything

I did some research, and all the midbasses come in 5.25 and 6.5 so do those go inplace of the co-axles? what would I do with the co-Axles then? What about on the rear deck, could I cut holes for just 2 midbasses fireing up and not need a box, or do they need boxes?

You want to keep the midbasses up front. Think of a midbass as a baby subwoofer. It helps out the comps since many good midranges are not that great in the midbass range.

You don't really need them. If you are not willing to do kicks, I would skip them.

Were would I go to get kicks? what would be a good price? so both the midbasses and the comps run out of the doors?

You can build kicks, or buy qlogics. The qlogics can be had for between 100-150 new. The comps end up in your kicks, and the midbasses in the door.
