Default looking to get a security system in my car

Well i just bought a car "civic" and well besides putting gps on the car can you also st like sensors if someone tries to pop my hood the alorm would go off or something like that any help would be helpful.. thank you

You can get a DEI alarm with a hood pin. Read the sticky at the top of this forum. And remember an alarm is only as good as its install.

oh ok i see what you mean but if i goto a shop where they do alrms they should have that right along with sensor pins?? or would it be better for me to install it myself

There are more then a few good car alarms out there to choose from, all will have the ability to add a hood pin to along with other sensors and GPS tracking.

If you are not comfortable installing it yourself, check/ask around your area for a dependable shop that can do it for you. 94

that is a great alarm!
viper makes very good alarms, 5 of my friends have them and love them, im going to be getting one in a few months also.
