Ipod Adaptor vs. Aux input RCA
I currently have my ipod hooked up to the deck with an rca through the aux-in..I must say that I am very dissapointed with the sound quality. It sounds no where near what the radio or cd sounds like, as if my tuning was not even done..would an ipod adaptor, in this case the panasonic ca-dc300u for my 8313 panasonic make a big difference? anyone with experience or have heard both please leave your feedback. I dont want to buy a whole bunch of cd's when I have all the albums on my ipod just to have the best potential sound quality..-thanks
r u sure its not ur ipod (ie the eq on ur i-pod) or maybe the compression ratio of your files is bad (i.e. 128kbps)
they should sound fine, it is a direct connection.

well when i compare volumes..my max with cd tuned is around 25 and its super loud already..with the ipod it gets to the same loudness around 30.
When you say your using the RCA AUX input, is the iPod end of the cable plugged into the iPods headphone jack? If so, then that's the problem, get the... http://www2.panasonic.com/weba...=true# if it is compatible with the HU, it will make for much better SQ.

To improve sound quality? Of course not. If you signal source (mp3 player) is putting out crap quality sound, all that an amp will do is amplify it. To improve the sound quality, you need to improve the source (either get higher bitrate mp3s or change the mp3 player, depending on what the problem is).

the output no the mp3 palyer is weak,
i have it at like 90% while my radio is at about 70%
i thought if i amped it.. maybe i could do %50 %50 or lower
i know it wont just simply improve sq, i should have explained my logic further

If your trying to make up for a lack of output power out of the MP3 player then yes a line level amplifier will work. Some audio control components come to mind. I'm sure someone makes something specifically for all these MP3 players though.
thing im going to get this one
