Infinity Reference sub 12" Why is it so cheap?
Right now I am running an infinity reference 12" as a temp until I upgrade I got it for $30 and It really sounds good. Why are they so cheap? it's got 1200 watts max and 400-500 RMS. I'm only 17 and have alot to learn about car audio, but I have heard alot of systems and this sub really sounds good. any of you other guys heard this sub, have any comments? I am almost reconsidering upgrading tell me what you think.
whateva if it works keep it-- ive hheard tha old skool kappa'z & tha Perfects but neva the Reff series.. alhtough i know hta Reff series speakers sound p-retty damn good for tha $$ ---- i would get a couple more for only $30- u should have 4 total.. your system will booom!
did you buy it off a shop or ebay type, or a person.? cause for 30 bucks i think i'll put 10 of those in my integra!!! j/k
The Kappas and Kappa Perfects are really good, but if you only paid $30 and it sounds good to you, then I wouldn't upgrade it until you blow it.
yeah they are great subs. a friend payed 300 for 4 from ultimate electronics and has a 1000bd and its the loudest **** around. when i heard them i thought they were high end infinitys, but then i heard the perfects
I have two of them; the 1220w (Reference 12"). paid $30 bucks each. Can't afford to get a $300 amp and $200 subs. It's very good and especially for its price..definitely worth it. I had a friend he got Bazooka for $150; 2 of them. No competition there. But it can't compare the high quality JL's and Kappa Perfects. With the right box and amp, you blow away 3 out of 4 setups. Make sure to use sound deadner. Rattling systems sound so gay regardless of how hard they bump.

Ebay all the way. I've seen ads for circuit city at like 69 a piece but on e-bay shipping is like 15 bucks so 45 a piece. Mine sounds better that a $400 boston acoustics 10 that my friend has, and the 2 10" punches that my other friend has
