Yes you can. I have 2 JL 12" subs that i use for home. First you will need to make a box for your subs. unless you want to use you sub box you have. However i made a speaker box( i wanted to put some tweeters and midranges in there too.) Next you will need to pick up a internal speaker crossover, I got one from my local home audio shop. Then wire your speakers into the crossover and then wire the crossover to the back of the box to some speaker plugs. then plug them into what ever type of receiver you have and there you have it home made subs. I have a 7.1 receiver(100wattsx7) that i use and let me tell you my speakers kick. I hope this helps you out.

The cross over will send the right frequencies to the right speakers. If you are using tweeters in the same box you need this, car amps have them built in and that is why you don't need them in your car. Make sure you get one for a sub, and not just a woofer. make sure that your home amp is stable at the ohms your sub is, or you can parallel your amp or series your DVC (I think w3's are)
