Are honda radios interchangeable?
I have a 4G prelude with a stock cassette/AM/FM head unit. As a factory optioin, you can get an add on CD player, but I need the dash room for a VAFC and Jacob's NMM. So can I use a civic, accord, or integra CD player in place of my stock one?
All Hondas are the same size, but the wiring is different. I think 1997 was the year that the plug on the back changed. Everything prior to that is a long flat plug, and everything after that is more square. That doesn't mean that you can't get the right wiring harnesses to make the conversion. I would get the aftermarket harness for the car it is going in, and the factory harness for the radio that is being transplanted. That is only if the plugs are not the same and the HU just wont plug in.
