1995 Prelude SE.

I want to go with a mp3/cd receiver. I already ordered the Clarion ProAudio DXZ815M, which is supposed to fit prefectly -- but it's on backorder and there's no ETA.

Since it's on backorder and I don't know when the heck I'm going to receive it, I'm considering other options...

The JVC KD-SH99 looks pretty nice, but the unit is just slightly deeper than the car can handle...something like 0.05"...I figure I can just mash it in there or bend a bracket or something to get it to fit (is this correct?). But is it worth it? The cost is about the same, but I don't know how good JVC car audio, and this particular head unit, is.

The Kenwood KDC-MP8017 and Kenwood eXcelon Z919 are both in my price range, but I don't know if the Z919 is worth the higher price. Both would fit and are in stock. But they don' thave AUX inputs which I would like to have. Also, the Z919 doesn't have a detachable faceplate and doesn't flip back when off (no theft protection at all?). The Z828 is out of my range.

Anyways, what do you guys think? Should I wait for who knows how long (is Clarion worth it?) or should I just buy something else?
