Default Help me choose a headunit?

What would you guys suggest i get? I heard that the 7894 has amber which matches my interior, and i hear good things about it. But then other people say get the 7995 because it matches my car color...EBP, and it's a newer model. So what do you guy suggest i get?

Unfortunately, I cannot vote. Heh. Anyway, since I can't vote I myte as well let you know my opinion.

IMO, you should get 7995 simply because it's stylish with the silver accent. Both have the same specs. If you hear good things about 7894, then you can assure you'll get the same great quality with the 7995. Just my opinion...

But then, in the end... It's up to you...

Do you have amps? I vote for 7995.

The 7995 is cool but I think the only option that it has different that the 7897 is i-personalize which is neat but not really worth the money. Also the the 7897 has an internal amp which can be turned off. Therefore, IMO you're getting more versatility for your money.

As far as a headunit goes, don't worry about what matches, because your ears really don't care and that's what matters most. Get an alpine definitely, but be more concerned with crossover and EQ features than with colors.

Oh and the 7995 doesn't have the really neato, super-blamo, bling bling, rotating hide-away face which as we all know, every true playa needs.

Yea i have an amp, it's only like 600 watts. I'm not really that into sound systems, the only reason i have this sub is because i got a good deal on it. It's 2 12s pioneers, with a box, and the 600 watt amp for 200 bux. So now I'm looking for a head-unit. So i came in here did a search and saw that the 7894 gets alot of appraisals, and people seem to like it because it matches with the interior(black). But then theirs people that don't like the 7995 because of the bling bling gray, which i think they kind of do make a good point.. looks kinda fugly gray and then black..i just don't want to go over $500. Any recommendations are welcome.

With the 79xx series alpines you need amps for every speaker. They have no outputs. You should be teh 7894 if you don't plan on purchasing another amp for the rest of you speakers.

That is why I could not find that model on alpines site I am pretty familiar with the 7995 since I considered purchasing that one before.

What features on the 7995 do you like. I have an older model 7977 that looks like the 7995 but doesn't have as many features. If you are interested i'll sell it for $250.

I second this if your going with alpine and are looking for other models that might suit your needs.

Its got more time correction channels - internal amp - and digital slope

plus you can upload to the unit from iPersonalize (alpines setup system on the web) which makes life that much easier

If its not in the budget, the 7995 was the deck I was looking at before the 9815 came out. High Signal to Noise, time correction and true dc to dc 4v

good luck!

damn that alpine 9815 is so damn beautiful..lol
i think i'm going to end up getting this one, it looks so damn awesome and seems like it has some awesome options. But just 1 question. Think this headunit is more than what i really need? or does is it good enough for the system setup that i got? i just have two 12' subs, box, and 600 watt amp. Not planning on making it any bigger of the system, so i dont really want to pay more for options that i dont need. Other than that, i love the way it looks, and if it fits for my system i'll get it.

9815

It sounds like it is more than you need, but it's an awesome HU. I have one and I'm extremely satisfied. The only thing it's missing is an organic display.

In your situation, I'd look for the 7894. It's cheaper and, by the looks of your goals, you will be more than satisfied with it.
