Im Not much of an audio guy more go fast. So I was hoping I could get some advice on a Good subwoofer nice sound dont want it to be annoying just clean so I can still talk to the people in my car. Im a total noob to the audio game so any help will be very helpful. THANKS GUYS

 

So maybe you would want some nice midbass. What kind of car do you have?

 

95 Acura Integra

 

A good headunit, componet set up front, 4 channel amp and a 10inch sub. I would skip rear speaker on a coupe. On a 4 door I would toss them in the rear for fill. You dont want a cheap sub just a entry level sub. Cheap would be a dhd or pyle. Those are crap. The 4 channel can power the front speakers and a sub depending on model.

 

I still have the same sub ever since my junior year of high school (2005), it's an Alpine Type E. Nothing special or crazy but it gets the job done. I like the way it thumps. I do not need panels shaking or car alarms going off. I have it hooked up to an Alpine amp(I forget which model).

 

Could also look at a Memphis PR sub. (May get flamed by fcm or wrx killer lol)

They're on the cheaper end and I think they do well for their price range

The little 10in sub puts out more bass than I'll ever need or want... cost around 100 bucks on amazon. The amp is your biggest concern though, if you have the best sub in the world but a crappy amp trying to push it. Then it's not going to sound anywhere near the way you want it to.

Yes give us the budget and then we can price you out. I have built several cheap builds and others that were into the $4,000.00 marks haha.

 

No flames, Memphis is a good brand. But I'll flame ya on a ed sub, lol. Thats really the only company i do not like as they do not stand by there warranty and really the subs are not so great. But people like them. There just a avarage speaker to me.

 

ED has good stuff. I would never deal with them, though.

SSA Dcon is one of the better budget subs out. JBL gto, too.
