Default Front Door Speaker Sizes

Everywhere I look and ask I find that every time I'm trying to find the size of the front door speakers for my car they're always different. Some people say 5 1/4, some say 6, some say 6.5... does anyone know? My car is a '91 Accord EX coupe.

The reason for everyone saying that is because your car comes with two options, If you have the upgraded system you have 4 0r 5 inch in a make ship box with 6x9 in the back. If not you have 6 1/2 and 6x9 in the back, either way you can put 61/2 in the front and 6x9 in the back

Nice... so... can the 6.5's in the front be direct replacements or do they require an adapter? I'm guessing it didn't have the premium setup 'cause it only came with the tape deck and not the optional CD player but with the pocket instead.

pull the door pannel and it should be a 61/2, check before you buy your speakers, I have to do this all the time. If there is 61/2 you don't have to buy adapters. just get the same depth and you will be fine,

I measured the speaker grille on my car, and it measured around a 5 1/4" speaker. I saw a pic of a same-gen Accord with a 6 1/2" speaker and there's no way in hell it would fit in my car, 'cause it required an oversized speaker grille just to fit. So, I'm sold that it's a 5 1/4" speaker. I still am going to pry off the door panel just in case though.
