Unless they're 2 way speakers with an external crossover.

Em1 comes stock with door speakers and tweeters. That would be why there are 4 wires. To clear this up the left door speaker positive is blue/green and negative is grey/black. Right door speaker positive is red/green and negative is brown/black. Those wires are coming from the deck, the other 2 wires that split off from that are pos and neg to the tweeters, im not too sure of the colors but should be straight forward.

A speaker, ANY speaker, has TWO wires. Count them. The tweeters have TWO wires for each tweeter. Count them. The door speakers have TWO wires for each speaker. Count them. The two rear speakers EACH have TWO wires per speaker. Count them. If you pull out the DOOR speaker you should only have two wires. The speaker wire for the tweeters should still be hooked up to the tweeters. And in ANY case if there were four wires there will be TWO positive and TWO negative wires. The OP could have looked up the wiring diagram anywhere on the net OR just figured it out by trial and error.

Don't understand the purpose of bumping a thread nearly a year old.

Er. It's NOT specific to the EM1. I have tweeters in my EX so you're WRONG there. And I've been inside the door panels enough times to say what I've said with confidence. It's a speaker. Be it woofer, tweeter or a set of components, they only have two wires going to them. It wouldn't matter if no one gave a definite answer because no harm would be done by hooking up the wires incorrectly. Doesn't really matter what colors go to what because anyone with a bit of common sense and patience would be able to guess which ones were correct. It would have taken you all of four tries tops to figure it out.

wow this was along time ago. i would post pictures but the car was stolen out of my drive way so you guys are a bit out of luck and yea believe it or not, ONE single speaker had 4 wires going to it. it looked factory, you might ask whell gsrsi how did it look factory. i would say whell man, there were no emblems, badges, or distinctive markings of any kind on or around the speaker. also, the wires were not hacked up and seem to be factory. either way who cares the car is gone.

Si, ek,em1,dc,db, Most if not all. If they have door tweeters. The tweeter gets the signal from the woofer or co axial speaker. So you will have 4 wires to the speaker. Two pos and two negs.
