Default electical system upgrade?

So I just got a 97 prelude sh and I wanna get my system put in it. I have 2 oz audio 12's powered by a hifonics brutus 1500d amp. I'm getting components for the front and making a mount for some 6.5 coaxles I already have in the back. Those will be powered by an interfire 4 channel amp. I wanna get my lude hooked up right, not like my cars before which were pretty ghetto because they were done by me and my friends. I went to the best shop around today, they do great work but charge an arm and a leg for anything and everything, they told me that my honda's electrical system will not be able to provide nearly enough power. They said I would definitely need a way bigger battery and to upgrade some stuff on my alternator. I will also be using a 1.2 cap on my system and it worked fine in my blazer but they said the honda will be different. Can you guys please let me know if that is necessary or not, any help is greatly appreciated.

The single best improvement you can make, [for a sound system] is a bigger alt.

That goes for any car, not just a Honda. 94

How many watts total is your system. Mostly what's the rated power of the subs?

You don't automatically need a new alternator.

A larger alternator will do nothing for you if you dont need it.

I understand that a bigger alt will help, but my question was is any upgrade necessary? The amp is 1500 watts at one ohm but I doubt that amp really puts out that much and I will most likely wire it at 2 ohms because I doubt the amp is one ohm stable anyways. At 2 ohms the amp is rated at 1000 watts and 500 at 4 ohms, don't know how I'm going to wire it yet. The subs are like 300 rms or something like that. I prolly will get a new battery but are any other upgrades or even that one necessary like the shop told me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Replace the stock battery, Do the big three or 4 if you got the chance. Upgrade you stock battery. It not neccessary to run that amp at 1 ohm. And yes that amp is one ohm stable. And will put out about 1300 rms at 14.4 volts anything less and it will nose dive. This is fact from using that amp. My co-worker loves them. Can you please post some info on your subs. They are dual voice coil, but I don't have the boxes or manuals so I couldn't even tell you what ohm. I'm gonna have that checked out though, it's kinda useful. hahaha

I did nothing to the electrical system in my blazer that had the same exact system in it. It worked perfect with a wally mart amp kit and I'm gonna buy a stinger 4 gauge kit for the lude. I understand that the electrical system of the v6 truck is more powerful than the little honda but I know a lot of people who have stereos that did nothing to their electrical system and it works just fine. Do you mean I will need a new alt or just a new batt and an upgrade of the alt wires or whatever the shop wanted to do to it?

What is the output of the stock alternator? Honda's actually have fairly good alternators. I believe yours is 90-110 amps stock.
Upgrade the wiring.
Buy a Cap. <-highly recommended
Upgrade the battery to a low ESR version.

Should be good to go. If your worried go have it tested while playing the stereo.

Music is dynamic, So you wont need a new alternator unless the RMS current exceeds the ouput of the stock alternator.
