I cant get the screen to turn on. its blank. but the buttons illuminate. i was wondering if there was a wire on the brain i needed to wire up that turns on the screen? there is a red & white wire that i dont know where it goes. im guessing it goes to the ebrake but i could b wrong

This isn't a new unit is it? Sounds like you have a bad screen, or a bad backlight.

I am going to agree with JDM_Ej, if the screen does not light up at all, then it sounds like a problem with the HU.
Why not try grounding the red/white wire, [that is what the "E" brake switch would supply]
Or contact Eclipse tech support... http://www.eclipse-web.com/contact/index.html
