Default dynamat

I need to dynamat my trunk, but is there a better product out there or one that's just as good but cheaper?

Ehh, so that means you should have looked around before asking. There's a list full of sound deadening materials a few threads down.

I know, that's why I told you to use the search function Don't worry, I'm not trying to bust your ***** - if I was, you would know

This question is asked at least 1 time a week, and I know that a lot of us have typed up significant reviews, how-tos, and comments on how to use sound-deadening. Just take a look through the archives and current material - I suggest you search under "dynamat" and you can do some research.

After you read a bit, I'm sure some more pointed and specific questions will arise - we'd all be happy to help you out then.

BTW, welcome to H-T

the only problem is that audio forum doesnt go taht far back in teh archives. 6 pages max i think.

We need to start making some threads sticky's to avoid this

another one that should be a sticky is the topic of OEM honda cd players showing the code and how you can get that code from teh dealership with the serial number and vin from the car.

I agree that it would be nice to get some sticky threads...but we don't have a mod here, and despite my requests, the current mods and admins ignore this request - we truly are the bastard section of H-T - not to say that really is a bad thing!!

There are 26 threads dating back to 2001 in the archives under "dynamat"

There's some good stuff in there - I'll be the first to agree though - the search function SUCKS here....

good luck with your car

He's talking about Brown Bread...go look it up - theres ebay users that sell it cheap.

And don't worry - everyone is friendly here - its just sometimes its amazing how many times a question can be asked with the answer like 3 threads below it...

Welcome to H-T.

Actally brown bread is not what i had in mind... it too is expensive (for me at least). Good alternative to dynamat.

There are quite a few sound damping links on my little links page I use. I have not updated it in awhile...but just follow the navigation breadcrumb to automotive/caraudio/installation/damping
