dvc wiring
I currently have a fosgate he2 10" with a 4ch fosgate amp (500x), its currently set up w/ one side bridged running 2ohm into the sub and then the other 2 channels are set up for my front mids-highs. Problem: The damn thing keeps over heating, is there a way to wire a dvc to 4ohms and still run both coils, or mabey a way to keep the amp cooler, its currently mouted on the box (in the trunk).
Question I am exentually going to get a second amp should I get another 500x fosgate and bridge one side for each coil, or get the two channel (500s) and continue 2ohm operation?

u r screwed u can either run ur he2 in a 2ohm load or in a 8ohm load. this is why I think rockford should have made them in dual 2ohm vc also.
if u get another amp which would be the intellegent thing, get another 500x and bridge the 4 channels to 2. this will keep the sub running in a 4 ohm.
remeber if u bridge an amp it sees half the load that the sub(s) sees (ie: sub sees 4 ohms, amp sees 2 ohm). if u run the 500s in "two ohm" it will actually be seing a 1ohm load which is below rockfords range of acceptable impedance.
500x no question.
