i recently bought an alarm off of ebay (cheap) just to discourage and wondering if anyone has done a 92 civic lx before and if there are any tricks or tips or anything like that

No tricks or tips really....its a pretty straight forward easy install unless you are hooking up locks. Heres the wiring info...kinda messy since I copy and pasted it. hope it helps:

12volts white + brn conn abv fusebox
Starter black/white + brn conn abv fusebox
Second Starter
Ignition black/yellow + brn conn abv fusebox
Second Ignition
Third Ignition
Accessory yellow + brn conn abv fusebox
Second Accessory
Keysense
Power Lock green/white - in drivers door
Notes: Door lock module in door above the speaker. the wires can also be found at the anti-theft if equiped.
Power Unlock green/red - in drivers door
Notes: Door lock module in door above the speaker. the wires can also be found at the anti-theft if equiped.

Parking Lights+ red/black grn plug top of f-box
Parking Lights- white/black anti-theft module
Notes: the anti-theft module is located under the drivers seat. only some models are equiped with anti-theft.
