Default deck on is, but buttons won't work. help!

ok, so my deck is on, but none of the buttons work.. not even the eject button to take out my cd

it was working fine, then all of a sudden, none of the buttons work out of nowhere.

could it be the deck connection? or is my deck dead

"my deck" is very descriptive. Tells us exactly which deck you have.

Try finding a tiny reset button somewhere on the faceplate, and reset the head unit.

if reset and faceplate cleaning doesnt work....then the deck is probably defective.
