Default In Dash DVD questions for the audio experts.

I know nothing at all about stereo stuff. I just know what I want to do with it. Im looking for a cheap in dash DVD Player/screen. Its going in my toy/race car and its really just in there for when I need to kill time.

So all I want is DVD/CD player /Screen. What would you guys suggest? And what is everyone else using? I really don't care to much for amazing sound or super features. Simple is almost better for me.

Ipod kit for it would be a bonus. Thanks H-T

what is your budget? Because it can get real cheap and you really need to steer away from the 200 dollar units

at that price, you're sure to find a couple of used units with the features you desire.
i doubt you're gonna find any quality units with the features you seek brand new for the 4-6 hundred range. you might wanna hit up the bay.

that is a damn good unit, but crutchfied.com has it for 599. I would say if youve got the money, that would be a great way to go because that unit will play cd's dvd's and is ready for xm or sirius if you ever wanted to add that on.

not a bad unit at all...but the explanation of the features seems like they used ratings for some type of amplifier that is definitely not built into the deck itself. pretty good price too and w/ a warranty...not bad at all.

if you can cop it from someplace like crutchfield where you know 100% that it's got a warranty i would put my money there instead. this way if you ever run into any troubles...you know you are covered. plus if i'm not mistaken they give you install parts for free but i could be wrong about that. it's been quite a number of years since i've purchased from them.

Dont order from crutchfield. Personally, ive had nothing but bad luck with them. Try to order locally if you can. Most local dealers have good deals and warrantees that you can rely on.

That would be a good unit of choice. Perfect entry level unit. And CF is a dealer for pioneer. You should not have any problems with that unit.

At our local audio shop they carry this Clarion unit that's a touchscreen Cd/Dvd/MP3 TV tuner ready...599.99....if I had the cash flow it'd be in my car riiiight now but I saw the unit on display and played with it...to me it seems like a really nice unit.
