Default cure for depression

is car audio

ive finally figured it out, i have a friend with a banging system in his starlet and he is the happiest fruit cake alive
anyone i know with a REALLY LOUD sound system, im talking deafening if turned up too loud, is happy.
now, i know there might be a few exeptions but when i turn up the bass in my ride all my worries are blasted away

this is a serious topic, i truly believe that loud/good sounding music is a cure for depression.

there is no greater feeling than pumping up your system after just installing a new amp or sub.
please only serious responses, to all of you with a banging sound system, is it possible to be depressed? won't the bass just bury your worries? or maybe you will get depressed if/when your stuff gets stolen, or something breaks or you get used to the sound and want more?
everyone i know who is a bass head(sq guys aka recovering bass heads included) is always happy

Bass gives me a headache. My ears are easily fatigued, so I spend plenty of time with the music low or off anyways.

Girls like bass too

Sometimes my sub needs a kilowatt of luvin'. Testing new toys, and things you have built is great.

You guys in the car audio industry are just bitter

I definitely need it while driving. Hard banging bass whether its tech trance, jungle, hard house or hip hop. Makes me forget about everything

MOREBASS4U

If I'm pissed off, a little Tool or Metallica at 110 db does wonders for my mood.

Only 110db? Do you have a headache

Loud rock makes me drive too fast. I stick to hip-hop normally

Well, I don't listen at that level very often....

Hip-Hop makes me drive faster, too. In fact, most music does.....

Alright boys I'm going to open up a little. Just had the biggist disappointment with a girl in my life. 2 minutes after that I got into my car and just cranked it. I'm talking can't see straight levels. COmpletely worry/stress free. Just didn't car anymore. Which would you rather put 1000 dollars towards a girl or a sub? I think we all know the answer to that.

OK, this topic is just a little strange...but i think you may be on to (and/or on) something.

Maybe you're thinking about it backwards though. Maybe happy people go with big systems.

Take someone with a big system, they probably have a greater apreciation for music than most. I think who are really into music are generally happier people to begin with.

TBC>>> (gotta go to work, mon) I'll see you in OT when this gets moved.
BTW: What'd you do to get banned to get banned...if you don't mind me asking.

My sub is quiet until I want to hear it.

I like performance too, but car audio will not blow my engine before I finish paying off my car.
