Crossover Troubleshooting
I just installed some MB Quart PSD216 components in my car, but something is goin on with the crossover. I have the Kenwood MP8017 mp3/cd headunit. I have the crossovers mounted under my passenger seat and here is how i have it wired: I ran 2 new wires through the door for the woofer. I have that hooked up to the "Woofer Output" on the crossover. I am using the stock wires that ran through the door for the tweeter. I cut the wires for the Left Front Speaker behind the headunit, and I connected the segment of wire coming FROM the headunit to the "Low Input" on the crossover. I then connected the wires that come from the tweeter to the "Tweeter Output". Thus there are 2 terminals on the crossover not being used...the "High Input".
Well, when i actually connect the wires to the crossover ALL SPEAKERS GO SILENT. As soon as I disconnect it, the rear speakers and the speaker that I haven't repaced, come on and play just fine. But as soon as i touch the leads to the crossover, everything goes silent. Does this have something to do with the crossovers or the headunit?? Any Advice?
thanks.

Nevermind guys...solved the problem myself.
The terminals on the speaker were grounding on the door frame...put a little electrical tape over them and VOILA!! Problem solved.
