Ive been looking into the compustar remote start alarm system for my automatic teg. ive heard good things about it like this one feature that wont let the car turn on unless the alarm is unarmed by the remote and i really like this feature. whats the name of the model that does this and how much does it usually cost? does anyone have this on theirs?

Im not sure what you mean. If the cars running and you turn it off, it will keep running untill you unarm the alarm which wasn't armed to begin with or else the car wouldnt be running? Or do you mean when the car is remote started it will stay running until you disarm the alarm at which point you will have to get in and restart it? What exaclty is the feature and why do you like so much?

 

ok you turn off the car like normal get out the car, and arm the alarm. then if thieves break in your car somehow and try to turn the car on, it wont turn on. the car wont turn on unless the alarm was unarmed by the remote.

i meant to say "on" in my first post instead of off.

 

yeah its called a starter kill you can even do an ignition kill if you want. Its a standard feature on every alarm or alarm r.s. combo

 

so whats the name of the compustar model?

 

they have a few different models, they all use the same brains, alarms use the same brains, alarm/remote start use the same brains, only thing that differs is the antenna and remote

so they have as far as 2-ways...
fm-a or as which has of course the 2 way piece, 1500 feet of range
900-a or as 3000feet
or the ss-a or as for 6000+ feet

i reccomend either the 900 or the ss
