Default code alarm stopped working after theft

Hi,

So the other night some low life broke into my car and stole my stereo. My alarm stopped working afterward. The alarm is code alarm, the LED light does not flash anymore, the remote when pressed does not react and whenever I start my car I need to press the alarm disable button located under the dash. Does anyone know what the problem is based on these symptoms?

Thanks

Maybe he shorted your battery and fried your alarm brain? Did you connect a fuse to your 12V power wire?

I'll probably need to find the alarm fuse.

If they cut any of the wires there is a chance that they shorted the brain. If you have to use the valet switch to start the car the alarm may still think the alarm is going off and trying to do it's job. I would take it to the shop that did the original install and see what they find.

Can you find the alarm brian? Make sure the fuse is not blown or Check to see if the unit is powered.
