Well what do you got going so far? Are you just changing out your head unit? Do you have/intend on getting seperate amps to run your speakers? What features are you looking for in your head unit? Your post is a good one, just give us a little more to what your asking us to help you with.
thanks mate
ok i have a directed 1100D for bass a rf 500a2 for mids and a small tweeter amp, upgrades will be a hifonics for mids and ill use the rf for tweeters
i have an alpine now with 3 rcas sub control and thats basically what i want in the new unit
it doesnt have to be ridiculoysly loud like the alpines 4v outs cause i think id prefer a lower sound from the unit so i can turn up the volume without petting the gains on the amp
i just like the look of the clarions, so wanted to know if people have anythung bad/good to say about them
im itching to go buy a new alpine, but i think a change is needed
its either a clarion or a nice solid looking kenwood

i hav heard a few clarion decks on stock stereo speakers and **** they sound pretty good... i am kinda intrested in those they r fairly cheap, reliable, and sound pretty damn good ... the alpines i would LOVE 2 hav 1 .. but too much ... they seem to be too heard of... so they price soo high on their HUs ... wat alpine u got now is it just messed up or u just like change
So you like the looks of the Clarion...me too. I interested are you trying to the color of the deck's face with gauges and other interior lighting? All the decks I saw on that web page showed different face colors. I think I would want it to match the LED's in the dash to the deck. Oh and you talked about running amps with this set up...ok. Make sure that the deck you chose has enough pre-outputs to run RCA's back to your amp's (best quality). Are you interested in MP3? That what one of the decks features...tell me what else you want your deck to do for you.

dont really want it to match anything
id be satisfied even if it only has 2 pre outs, i cam y split one and run 2 rcas to the mid amp and tweeter amp
i don't really care much for mp3, the sq sucks i think
but i still hear alpine calling my inner soul, i hope i don't see a pic of an alpine before i buy a clarion cause it would be over!

Hay, you got to do what you got to do! If you lust for an Alpine...go for it. I highly suggest, for sound quality sake, buy a deck with three out put jacks! Good luck with your stereo bro!
