Civic wiring question

On a 5spd 99 Civic. Is there a cable, sensor or anything that will tell the car that it is in gear. Obviously there is something for reverse. What about any of the other gears?

There is no such wire for a manual transmission Civic, other than that for reverse. Sorry.
