So I got some new pioneers to replace my front speaker. When i took the stockers out, they had this small white two piece plug. Does that plug do anything besides allow the stock speaker to separate from the harness? Also how should i wire my new ones, before or after the plug?
You can get a speaker harness adapter. The white plug will plug into the adapter, which has 2 wires (+/-) which in turn connect to the speaker.
Another way to do it is to pry open and unsnap the white plug, separate the female spade connectors from the plug and in turn connect them to their respective (+/-) male spade on the speaker.
I have done both methods on my 1995 Civic.
