Default cd player not working

i have clarion head unit and i moved it down where the cupholders in my 96 civic. after i did that, it stopped playing my cds. it says load and spits it back out. anybody knows whats up? i have all the wires hooked up right and i dont want to buy a new one. i think the screws i used might of f'ed it up. but i changed them but nothing still.

if you used screws that are too long you probably messed it up,if its still under warranty send that thing off if not then that sucks

yeah, i already replaced them with smaller screws. and still nothing, so im guessing i messed it up.

EDIT: if i buy a new headunit (still clarion), can i still use the original wires and plugs or do i have to hook up new ones and all that crap.
