CD Player shows error code of "cd E00" which according to the owners manual indicates a system or focus error. Will not play any cd. Any ideas of how to clear this or is this the end of the line for my CD Player (Part of the Radio) - 99 Odyssey EX. Help!!

Don't know if this would help, but I had a similar error in my Accord EX CD player. P-EQ and will not play any CDs as well. I saw a website that said it could fix it...but I had Hondacare so I just had it replaced for $50 deductible...

 

My CD player's messed up too... Error code "E-01" My CD's get stuck, cant get them out unless i get lucky after pressing the eject button a million times... any suggestions?

 

if it says focus error, i would prob try cleaning the lens, or getting it properly aligned..should'nt cost much to do at a electronics repair shop.

Hi, I'm getting the same messag on my cd player too! I asked someone who installs car stereos and he said it would cost more than it is worth to fix. I'm still trying to get a "second opinion" or maybe some other options. I'll let you know if I find something, please let me know if you find something too!

try cleaning the lens.. if that doesn't work just get a new head unit and save yourself the trouble.. I think I replied to your other thread (lx98) or a similar thread .. you can read about the whole ordeal w/ my ex-gf's prelude (3 head units)

so just save yourself the trouble and get a new head unit if the CD lense cleaner doesnt work..
