Carpet purchase and deployment.
I'm going to be recarpeting the trunk floor, which means cutting the existing "carpeting" on the sides because it's a unipiece, I know. This is going to be for my "I have a 1/16 inch panel bolted to a lip that I welded to the frame...try getting to my amps NOW so you can get a crack rock off your dealer" project...
and I'm also going to weld a cage so that I can bolt the headunit in, everything with Torx, triangular, or some other odd shaped bolt head
That said, I need to know about carpeting. I have no experience with carpet (no munching jokes please), and I want any advice that you can offer. I'm looking for something light, yet durable. I'm trying to keep stuff light for MPG in city driving, you know. What is the best way to attach carpet to the steel floor of the trunk? Any brand names of caulk adhesives that you're going to recommend? How about attachment to a MDF box?
[Lispy voice] Thank you guys. I wub you sooooooo much.

carpet and trunk liner are available at sounddomain.com - the stinger stuff is very plush, and probably won't match well in a civic - the R/T brand is closer to the consistency of your trunk liner. This stuff should also be available at your local car audio shop or at selectproducts.com
For attaching it, just some 3M Super 90 if you are looking for rattle can. Spray both mating pieces, let it tack up for about 1 min and there you go - works well for store bought - there's better glues out there, but you need a gun to shoot it.
