Default Bypassed the Amp

I just had installed a Kenwood DNX8120 (with all of the bells and whistles) in my 2007 Honda Civic SI. Here's the deal. There is no harness (at least that I know of) that will allow the installation to go through the factory amplifier. The only harness that is available bypass the factory amp. Has anyone ran into this issue? By the way, I went from a stock radio (FM/AM/CD/MP3/XM) 350 watts to the Kenwood.

your going to have to locate the amp. cut both harnesses on the amp and tap them together.

i woulda thought the amp would have the standard honda radio harness

According to Metra the 70-1722 will work along with this amp turn on lead... http://documents.victorytechno...0.pdf not sure why it's shown 8 times. 94
